BETH JI-WON SONG

PT, HBSc, MScPT
Physiotherapist
Medical Acupuncture Provider

Beth completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University and her Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Toronto in Mississauga. As a believer in life-long learning, Beth continues to work hard at improving her skills by taking relevant courses and reading scientific journals to keep her informed to provide the best evidence-based treatment for her clients. She has completed post-graduate education courses including the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture at McMaster University, the Soft Tissue Release course, and the Level 2 Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Throughout her studies of the Contemporary Acupuncture and her previous experience of being treated by experienced practitioners, she has learned the value of good manual therapy skills and the importance of involving the nervous system even when treating orthopaedic conditions. She strives to find the root cause of the issues and treat the person as a whole and not fixate solely on the pain.

Beth’s goal is to help her clients to be in charge of their rehabilitation. She wants to help them get back to doing things that they love to do. Her treatment approach is individualized to meet the needs of the patients, using acupuncture, hands-on therapy, exercise, and education.

During her free time, she enjoys nature walks, trying new foods, and travelling. She is fluent in both Korean and English.
